Dear Friend of The Bridge:
By the end of August, The Bridge will reduce its presence at the Palatine Opportunity Center (POC) while maintaining the ability to provide services at that site.
Budget cuts and staff reductions have made it desirable to house all Bridge staff at the Quentin Road location inside the Palatine Township Center. We will continue to rent a single large counseling room at the POC. This will allow staff of all programs to provide service at the pac on an “as needed” basis. I expect our bilingual counselors to continue serving Hispanic residents at that location.
Moving staff currently housed at POC to the Palatine Township Center is scheduled to occur on August 18th. Access to staff direct phone lines and e-mail is likely to be disrupted for one or two days around the move. After that date unscheduled walk-ins will not be able to receive Bridge services at POC. All services provided there will be by scheduled appointment.
The size of our staff has changed due to reductions in funding, but all the services we were offering will continue to be available. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email.
